Everyone is welcome to check out our weather website. This site is under ongoing construction, but it will get much better. Later on, it should greatly enhance the quality of my Yahoo! Weather Club known as Mid Atlantic Weather Central.

Bet your wondering about my name, midlantwx !
Since my Yahoo! Club is all about Mid Atlantic weather, I thought it appropriate that my name should reflect the geographical location. So, that is how I came to name myself "midlantwx".

mid/lant/wx

mid = Mid

lant = At/ lant /ic

wx = weather

So, mid*lant*wx = mid atlantic weather.

Hello, I'm midlantwx, the Founder of the Yahoo! Club, Mid-Atlantic Weather Central. When I first set up this Club, I intended it to cover only Mid-Atlantic weather, but as time went on, I realized I wanted the Club content to encompass United States and even World weather. I can't change the Club name, but in a recent message on the Boards, I indicated that Club Members are now encouraged to discuss any weather topic and that weather discussions are no longer confined to the Mid-Atlantic, but that members are free to carry on discussions concerning weather events that occur anywhere on the globe. As anyone can see, this Website is connected to the Club and it's undergoing construction all the time. Over time, I will be adding more Features to this Club Website and to the Club itself. All of us here at Mid-Atlantic Weather Central thank you for dropping by and we hope you enjoy your visit to our Club.

UPDATE: December 25, 2003.....
When I first developed this message, it was probably back in late November or in December 2000. Back then, Yahoo Groups were called Clubs. In March 2002, Yahoo converted their Clubs to Groups. Personally, I think they should have stayed with the old Clubs, but that's just me. Then again, those Clubs were so easily spammed by renegade spammers. I am going to set up a page devoted to the spamming tribulations that all of us Club owners endured in 2000-2001.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our weather site. I realize it needs a LOT of work, and I'm working on it little by little. Please bear with me as I build you a much better website!!
